2010 - "New Partnership"
Pulse Cymru are delighted to be working in partnership with Luis Michael training, delivering child protection and safety and welfare of children throughout the UK.
Luis Michael are one of the UK's largest training providers to the active leisure sector, earning a reputation as a leader in their field. They provide a broad range of high quality services to meet a wide range of needs; from training to helping young adults gain initial employment, qualifications to help those already in employment to develop and progress their careers, and vocational courses for those individuals looking for a career change.
Luis Michael offer training to anyone aged 16 and over including the following:
• Skills Development – Preparing 16-18-year-olds for entering employment
• Lifelong Learning – Preparing 19+ for employment up skilling the workforce
• Industry Specific – Apprenticeships to prepare people for working within the Sport and Leisure environment.

January
2009 - "New IHCD First Person on Scene courses"
Pulse Cymru
are pleased to announce that Edexcel/IHCD have granted
accreditation to deliver the IHCD First Person on Scene
programme for both Basic and Intermediate courses. This
course is designed for those who provide an emergency
response prior to the arrival of the emergency services
and is ideal for industry, construction, rig and gas
workers as well as local community responders.
Training is
guaranteed to be delivered by paramedic instructors who
have a wealth of experience and who bring a sense of
reality to the courses.
Additional

Medications Awareness
Mental Health Awareness
Protection of Vulnerable Adults
These half
day or one day courses are ideally suited to those who
work or are looking for a career in the health sector.
Specialist Lecturers in Psychiatry and Nursing who have
a wealth of practical experience deliver this training.

had pleasure in working with ex professional footballers
Mark Aizlewood and Paul Sugrue in training secondary
school students in Emergency First Aid as part of the
curriculum run by Mark and Paul on behalf of Welsh
Schools.

"Funding for ESF and SME courses"
“Some of our
courses are vocationally related qualifications that may
attract funding under Section 96 and/or Section 97 of
the Learning and Skills Act 2000 and are eligible to be
used to qualify candidates taking part in ESF and SME
funded programmes”

2008 - "CIEH Accreditation"
We are now
an accredited centre for the Chartered Institute of
Environmental Health and are able to offer the following
courses:
• CIEH
Principles of Manual Handling
• CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and
Social Care
• CIEH Level 2 Award in Conflict Resolution and Personal
Safety

"New Accreditations"
We
have just been accredited by First Aid Qualifications to
deliver the
Level 2 Certificate in Paediatric First Aid,
which attracts funding under Section 98 of the Learning
and Skills Act 2000.

• Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA)
• Qualifications Curriculum and Assessment Authority for
Wales (ACCAC)
• Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment

We are
pleased to announce a new partnership arrangement with
Educ8 training Ltd who has emerged as a leading provider
of training to the Childcare and Health and Social Care
sectors within Wales. The business was established in
2004 evolving as a subsidiary of CCA Residential Homes
Ltd, a large residential care organisation providing
highly specialised support for people with Learning
Disabilities and / or Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

We look
forward to working with Educ8training
Other recent
clients include Neath Port Talbot Local Health Board,
Swansea and District Pony Club, Ammanford Pony Club and
Cymru Mencap.
In addition
we are currently working with Medical Services, training
staff in Wales in various aspects of emergency care and
manual handling. Medical services are the UKs fastest
growing medical transportation company.
August 2007
- "Extra courses due to demand"
Due to
demand we are holding an additional 4 Day HSE First Aid
at Work Course from 1st Oct - 4th Oct at our training
centre. Please contact Pulse Cymru as soon as possible
as places are limited.
June 2007 -
"Do you have the facilities to be trained at your place
of work?"

If not Pulse
Cymru has the solution and has opened its first training
centre in Swansea. The fully equipped centre enables
clients to train in a number of First Aid, Manual
Handling and Health and Safety courses in a comfortable
environment, delivered by experts in their speciality.
This is particularly useful when space and facilities
are lacking at your place of work. The official opening
of the centre will be in the coming months – date and
further information to be confirmed…”

2007 - Welsh Bushi-Kai Club: one of Wales’ top Karate
association
Chief
Instructor, Shihan Ritchie Noblett 8th Dan Black was
delighted with the first aid course we ran at his club
in the Afan Lido Porttalbot.
He said,” it
was really enjoyable, he went on to say he could see”
how professional and dedicated we were to our
profession”
In the year
2000 Ritchie was inducted into the Millennium Hall of
Fame alongside sporting legends like Gareth Edwards
(rugby) and Tony Lewis (cricket).
