Pulse Cymru First Aid / Consultancy were formed with the belief that with enough training and determination you can conquer any situation. No matter who you are, there is always a possibility that there is something else that you can learn.

Our instructors are hand picked for not only do they have a vast amount of academic qualifications but they have something that in today’s market that is just as important, perhaps a little bit more.

That is the exposure of real life experiences, where they have tested theories and facts in real time and now they bring you the fruits of their labour!

Name:      David Ellis

Position:  Director

Status:     Married with two children

Qualifications:

•      Over 30 years with the ambulance service and has
•      recently retired as Regional Chief Ambulance Officer

•      State Registered Paramedic, has trained as an
•      ambulance trainer and holds an MSc and M.Phil in
•      Health Care management together with a Diploma in
•      Management Studies

•      David has an extensive knowledge of Clinical
•      Governance requirements, heading a national
•      department responsible for investigating serious and
•      critical incidents

•      He is NEBOSH qualified and has a (PGCE) Post •     
•      Graduate Certificate in Education

Name:      Jacqui Jones

Position:  Director

Status:     Married with one child

Qualifications:

•      Over 18 years with the ambulance service as a
•      Paramedic and Paramedic Tutor

•      Jacqui has an MSc in Clinical Audit and Effectiveness
•      and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a
•      Post Graduate Certificate in Education

•      Jacqui qualified at the University of Southampton as a
•      Back Care Advisor and has extensive knowledge and
•      experience as a Manual Handling Advisor for the
•      ambulance service

•      As a key contributor to the All Wales NHS Manual
•      Handling Training Passport & Information Scheme
•      Jacqui is well qualified to oversee and deliver manual
•      handling training to the highest standards

•      She also has qualifications in management and has
•      qualified as a tutor in pre-hospital trauma life support

Name:      Andrew Vaughan

Position:  Director

Status:     Married with three children

Qualifications:

•      Over 20 years with the ambulance service as a
•      Paramedic and an ambulance instructor, concentrating
•      more recently on public awareness and community
•      first aid

•      Andrew is qualified as an ALS instructor and is the
•      only paramedic in Wales to earn a Townsend award
•      for actions in the field

•      He has earned a Diploma in despatching and moving
•      and handling and has an extensive knowledge in
•      defibrillation and defibrillators

•      Public Access Defibrillator Tutor, Driving Assessor,
•      Health & Safety Executive, First Aid at Work
